Erin Tobiasz, MS, LMHC

Specialties:  My areas of specialty are in empowerment
and self-esteem, relaxation techniques, adolescent care,
relationship issues, and working with family members
affected by addiction and alcoholism.

I have experience in treating Anxiety, Depression,
Personality and Behavioral Disorders, and Addiction
with co-occurring mental health disorders.

I also specialize in working with the LGBTQ community,
treating individuals, couples, and families.

Approach:  I offer a holistic approach to counseling, connecting mind, body and spirit through the therapeutic process and working with clients in the context of their environments.  I have over a decade of experience in instruction of meditative practices including mindfulness, imagery, and utilizing energetic principles.  By blending these modalities with scientific studies of the brain and body, I provide a unique environment where transformation can unfold.

Customizing therapy:  Incorporating therapeutic tools such as art, writing, and narrative therapy, I customize counseling to fit each client's individual needs, likes, and unique talents.  I educate and empower clients to learn and to grow.  I believe that working within each client's spiritual framework is a necessity to healing and I am able to work with clients from different faiths, religions, and spiritual backgrounds.

Philosophy:  Using this therapeutic approach, the union of physical and cognitive interventions fosters shifts in thoughts, emotions and behavioral patterns.  Through this process, clients can initiate change, which promotes healing, and enhances an overall sense of well-being.

Education:  I have a Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.  I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor working as a therapist at the Live Oak Wellness.  I have completed doctoratal course work in Research Psychology, specializing in Gender Diversity.
